Universal town-ship namely Auroville is built on the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. This was founded by the Mother on 28^th February 1968 to give a collective form to Sri Aurobindo’s vision of the value of humanity. Auroville will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee with the Journey of Auroville Kolkata Festival.

A press conference was organized to announce this event.

The festival will begin on 28^th January and continue till 31^st January. The festival will be held at Rotary Sadan, Sri Aurobindo Bhavan, ICCR amd Goethe-Institut/ Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata. The festival will comprise of performances, lectures and exchanges.

With the help of this festival and on the occasion of the 50^th anniversary, the festival shows the spirit of Auroville in action and seeks to foster exchange and affinity.
