13th Edition of Swayam Siddha 13 Organized; Eminent Women Achievers Felicitated
Rotary Club of Calcutta Metro City organized the 13th edition of Swayam Siddha 13 at the Rotary Sadan recently. The University Women’s Association of Calcutta partnered the Rotary Club of Calcutta Metro City along with Orange Corp and Eastern Chamber of Commerce.
Rotary Club of Calcutta Metro City’s annual program Swayam Siddha is a tribute to the power of women since 2004. Rotary Club of Calcutta Metro City has been celebrating the essence of womanhood through this program entitled “Swayam Siddha” where women achievers are portrayed as examples to other women in society.
The recipients this year included Dr Basabi Paul (French Linguist and recipient of Chevalier Dans l’ordre des Palmes académiques frpm the Repulic of France), Sujata Chatterjee (Entrepreneur, Founder of www.twirl.store up cycling or reusing fabrics), Manjula Jain (Social Activist ), Indrani Banerjee ( Chief Public Relations Officer Kolkata Metro Railway for Public Relations), Sudipta Chakraborty (Actor).
Usha Uthup was presented with Living Legend Swayam Siddha Award by Mr Debasish Dutta, CEO, Orange Corp.
The program was also attended by past Swayam Siddha recipients as Rita Bhimani, Nandita Palchoudhury, Anindita Sarbadickary and Jolly Chhanda.
Aaratrika a recitation and dance program was presented by Chandrima Roy & Guru Anuradha Roy.
