Veer Savarkar was a writer, activist, and politician from India. While imprisoned at Ratnagiri in 1922, Savarkar created the Hindu nationalist political ideology known as Hindutva. He held a prominent position within the Hindu Mahasabha.

The 143rd birthday of activist Veer Savarkar was celebrated recently.

Bengal Provincial Hindu Mahasabha or Bangiya Pradeshik Hindu Mahasabha’s editor, Ananta Sinha Roy, said that many secular political parties are spreading rumors against Veer Savarkar. He also added that Veer Savarkar said that if the military of a country is not aggressive, then keeping the country united will be a problem. And PM Narendra Modi is also walking on the lines of Veer Savarkar.

Eminent guests gracing the occasion were Sandip Mukhopadhyay, Shambhunath Ganguly, Sanjay Roy, and many others.
