Like previous years, Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute organized Children’s Day celebration on 14^th November at the auditorium of the cancer research institute.

Anjan Gupta, Hony Secretary, Dr Arnab Gupta, Director, Rupak Saha, Director of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers graced the occasion.

After the lamp lighting, special performance by child patients of the cancer research institute followed. A solo dance performance by Anjali Roy (Paediatric survivor), musical extravaganza by singer Somlata and prize distribution to the child patients were part of the proceedings of the special day.

It has been found that 70 percent of cancers in kids are blood cancer and this can be cured if this is detected early. Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute is perhaps the only centre in India which has a dedicated children’s hospital for the treatment of cancer. The wing has all kinds of amusement for the kids.

On speaking about the association with the cancer research institute, Rupak Saha said “It is our privilege and honour that we could make the day special for those kids who need extra affection and love. We are very happy to stand beside these kids in their time of need”.

The cancer patients and survivors had a gala time on Children’s Day and they enjoyed it to their heart’s content.
