Three superstars of Bengali cinema will be seen in three original stories in one feature film. Wondering what this is all about? Do not think much as this is what the upcoming Bengali film Bagh Bandi Khela all about.

This is a first of its kind initiative undertaken by Jalsha Movies to cater to the growing needs of the audience to explore new styles of storytelling.

For this reason, Jalsha Movies has collaborated with Surinder Films to produce this film. Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet and Soham has been directed in the three stories by directors Haranath Chakraborty, Sujit Mondal and Raja Chanda.

A press meet of the film was announced in the presence of Raja Chanda, Haranath Chakraborty, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Soham, Sayantika, Rupam Islam and others who shared their experiences about the film.

The film has been shot at multiple locations like Bangkok, Benaras, North Bengal and Kolkata.

The music has been composed by Jeet Gannguli. Anupam Roy, Shreya Ghosal, Sonu Nigam, Armaan Mallik, Rupam Islam, Jeet Gannguli has sung the songs in the film.

Bagh has been directed by Raja Chanda and the cast consists of Jeet and Sayantika in lead roles. The film is an action thriller. Jeet will be seen as Barun Ghatak aka Bagh and Debashree, Barin’s wife will be played by Sayantika. The film has gravity defying stunts directed by renowned action director Allan Amin. The film has been shot in Thailand and Kolkata.

Speaking about the film, Sayantika said “I have acted with Jeet da before in many films and it has been a great experience. I play his wife and I keep him in control. He is the Bagh (tiger) and I am the Baghini (tigress)”.

Jeet who have done the daredevil stunts on his own mentioned how he had requested the action director to reshoot a sequence once again as he was unhappy with it.

Bandi begins just where Bagh ends. The hit pair of Soham and Srabanti will be seen as Hirak and Jayanti. They play wedding planners who become witness to an incident accidentally. The story ends with a court scene.

Soham mentioned that shooting in Benaras was an enjoyable affair. The weather was a drawback though as the temperatures were very high. Despite that the actor mentioned about how they tasted on some good food, shot in the bylanes and also witnessed the aarti.

The third story Khela begins where Bandi ends. Khela explores the ups and downs of a father- daughter relationship. Prosenjit Chatterjee plays the role of the criminal lawyer while Rittika plays the role of his daughter.

Haranath Chakraborty was full of praises for Prosenjit Chatterjee whom he described as “Guardian of the Bengali film industry”.

Prosenjit said “I have worked in over twenty films with Haranath and delivered some great hit films. We have again collaborated and hope that this film will be well received”.

The screenplay and dialogues have been written by N.K.Salil.

The film is eyeing for release on 16th November.
