The first song Boka Pahar from the web-series Shobdo Jobdo was released in the presence of the director Sourav Chakraborty, cast members Rajat Kapoor, Paayel Sarkar, Mumtaz Sorcar, Subrat Dutta, Kankana Chakraborty, Saloni Pandey and others.

Sougata (Rajat Kapoor) is a well known thriller writer. He became famous after his first book After Death was published. It was a rare feat for a Bengali writer to get such popularity who is writing in English. After one and a half year, his next book Death case was released. A production house of Bollywood purchased the film rights by paying him five times the royalty earned by Sougata. After this Sougata became a Page 3 celebrity. His family consists of his wife Aditi (Paayel) and their daughter Raka (Saloni).

Sougata comes to Kolkata for a family vacation. A mysterious girl named Sulagna (Mumtaz) keeps appearing in front of him claiming that she knows parts of the two novels written by Sougata which were inspired by true events in his life. What will happen next?

Rajat Kapoor will be making his debut in Bengali web-series with this series. “When we go for promotional events, we say we had a good time shooting. However they are not true all the time. But this time this is true. The result was something that we had not expected while we were shooting the web-series. I had a great time shooting and I hope the audience enjoy as much as we did” said the actor.

Kankana is making her debut with this web-series. She sent a voice note to Sourav and asked him to let her know about any auditions taking place in Kolkata. The director asked her to come and meet him as he needed her accent for the role in his new web-series. This was how she was cast in the web-series. “Rajat sir is so sweet that he came up to me and introduced himself. I mean who does not know him? But it was his gesture that put me at ease and I was able to do my scene properly with him” said Kankana.

Saloni who plays the quiet daughter Raka said “I am quiet in my real life. So it kind of helped me to play Raka. I and Paayel di clicked from the first moment as mother and daughter as we were both fighting to get the due time from Rajat sir”.

Mumtaz who had shared screen space with the director as an actor was thrilled to be acting in his web-series. She described Sourav as a quiet director who did not reveal much about how he felt about her acting. She hoped that the audience will be more responsive and applaud the team effort.

The web-series began streaming from 21^st February.
