“I Wish Joy Sarkar Is Cast In The Next Season And He Has To Lip-Sync With Such Difficult Songs”- Vikram Chatterjee
After the success of Tansener Tanpura, Hoichoi revealed a new kind of trailer for Rudrabinar Obhishaap Part 1 titled An-Introduction-Trailer. As is suggested from the name, this is an introduction to the new adventure of Rudrabinar Obhishaap.
The trailer launch event was graced by director Joydeep Mukherjee, Vikram Chatterjee, Rupsa Chatterjee, Saurav Das, Ditipriya Roy, Ushasi Roy, and music director Joy Sarkar.
The story revolves around an ancient curse and follows the events that were shown in the final season of Tansener Tanpura. The story is set in the fictional lands of India known for their musical lineage- Rudrapur, and Anandagar.
With this new adventure, the pair of Alap and Shruti played by Vikram and Rupsha will again return.
Speaking about her experience, Rupsha said “I don’t know how but Shruti is just like me. I am so glad that I could play a character just like my real self. Whoever cast me for this role, I owe that person a lot. Tansener Tanpura received much fame. So I hope that we entertain the audience equally well this time”.
Vikram however mentioned that shooting the web series was fun. However, lip-syncing with the difficult songs composed by Joy Sarkar was troublesome for him and Saurav. “I wish that Joy da is cast in the next story and he is made to lip-sync with these difficult compositions” joked the actor.
Saurav Das will be seen playing the role of Naad in the web series. This character has multiple layers and has more negative traits. “The pressure was huge because this was a popular series and had received positive feedback from the audience. So when I was offered this role, I just hoped that I had done justice to the role” said the actor.
Ushasi Roy will be seen in a cameo role in the series. The actress was elated to be a part of such a successful series.
Ditipriya Roy will be seen in the role of Saaz in the series. Since this is her first web series, the young actress was looking forward to the reactions of audiences when the series starts to air.
Music is an essential part of this web series and music director Joy Sarkar was aware of the challenges that he would have to face. The music composer thanked his team for helping him to compose the songs for this web series. With this series, he rediscovered himself as a music composer.
Srijato has penned down the lyrics for the songs in the series.
The new series will stream from 24th December on Hoichoi.
