Usha: Dawn Of Bengali Cuisine Starts Its Journey In Kolkata
Foodies gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Usha: Dawn of Bengali Cuisine with much enthusiasm, offering them a fresh perspective on Bengal’s culinary legacy. The restaurant promises to provide a distinctive eating experience by reinterpreting heirloom cuisine and lost recipes with a contemporary twist.
The menu at Usha consists of Mushroom Patishapta, Keemar Doi Bora, Makhon Morich Kakra with Kurkure Kolmi, Morning Glory Fish Fry, Neelkontho Polao, Ada Mouri Diye Mangso, and Shorbhaja with Bandel Ice Cream.
Usha provides a warm and private setting, spanning two comfortable floors and accommodating 62 people. The restaurant is intended to be an affordable yet upscale venue for any occasion, with rates starting at about ₹1000 for two.
Co-owner Jay Ghosh and seasoned restauranteur and entrepreneur Jayanta Chatterjee are the creators of Usha. By combining their talents, they have produced a modern, elegant homage to Bengal’s culinary legacy.
Usha, which is now open every day from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM for lunch and 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM for dinner, welcomes patrons to re-discover the exquisitely prepared Bengali tastes.
