Dish TV’s well-known OTT aggregation platform Watcho has taken a revolutionary step to redefine content creation by launching the “Watcho Storytellers Conclave” a cutting-edge platform aimed at empowering Indian filmmakers and content producers.

In addition to addressing the need for level playing fields for filmmakers and content producers, this innovative project opens up new channels for established and up-and-coming artists to engage with viewers and tell their stories. Overcoming conventional obstacles to success and improving the entertainment industry as a whole, Watcho creates an atmosphere that promotes creativity and innovation by offering a warm and inviting venue for a variety of artistic expressions.

Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Prasun Chatterjee, and Indranil Roy Chowdhury were among the distinguished filmmakers and artists who attended a “Watcho Storyteller Conclave” in Kolkata to celebrate the launch of the innovative platform. The event featured three sessions that expressed excitement for the potential the platform will bring to the industry while also providing insightful information about the opportunities and difficulties in the content creation market.

The first session was on Masterclass on Crafting Local Stories for Global Audiences and featured Indian actor and producer Prosenjit Chatterjee as a panelist.

The second session was on Beyond Box Office and OTTs: Emerging Filmmakers Breaking Barriers, and featured Indian film directors Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and Prasun Chatterjee.

The third session was on The Art of the Title Sequence: A Cinematic Introduction and saw the presence of Filmfare award-winning director Indranil Roy Chowdhury.

By supporting regional talent and broadening the entertainment ecosystem through the Watcho Storytellers Conclave, Dish TV is paving the way and establishing a new benchmark for the sector.
