The largest private education organization in Eastern India, Techno India organization announced the fourth iteration of the prestigious inter-school athletic tournament, Techno Olympica Knights. Over 1,700 kids from more than 105 schools in West Bengal are expected to participate in this year’s event, which will take place from December 11 to December 16, 2024. Students from classes I through XII will compete, and all educational boards are welcome.

The official theme song and torch-bearing ritual was part of the event’s grand opening.

The ceremony was graced by Ms. Anjum Moudgil, Olympian & Shooter, Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group, Mr. Meghdut Roychowdhury, Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group, Ms. Pauline Laravoire, Sustainability Director, Y East Techno India group and others.

Participating schools can still register for free, and as in past years, the top three schools will be chosen based on the number of medals.

The winners will receive cash prizes and trophies as follows:

  • 1st Prize: Rs 50,000/-
  • 2nd Prize: Rs 30,000-/
  • 3rd Prize: Rs 20,000-/
  • 4th Prize: Rs 5,000

Archery, badminton, basketball, chess, discus throw, football, freestyle swimming, freestyle relay swimming, individual race, kabaddi, long jump, relay race, table tennis, and volleyball are just a few of the several sports that will be offered to both boys and girls at the competition. The Techno India Salt Lake Campus, Sports Authority of India, Kolkata, Spuddy Badminton Academy, HA Block Table Tennis Academy, and Subhas Sarobar Swimming Pool are just a few of the notable locations in the city where these events will take place.

The goal of Techno Olympica Knights is to unite the best young athletes from all across West Bengal and promote healthy competition and sportsmanship. With Techno Olympica Knights, the group wants to inspire all students to embrace the transforming potential of sports and to dream big. The event is a significant effort to promote sports in education since it also seeks to draw attention to sports that frequently do not get the recognition they merit.
