Chowman Welcomes Chinese New Year With A Bang
Chowman is welcoming the Chinese New Year with a gala celebration at Chowman. This is the Year of the Snake.
The celebration was taken forward with a spirited and traditional dragon dance performance. This mesmerized the assembled audience in front of Chowman and also helped enhance the auspicious occasion.
To mark the Chinese New Year, Chowman has also introduced a wide variety of authentic dishes. These include Prawn and pork wontons, Steamed whole beckti, Lion’s head meatballs, Chinese lobster in pepper garlic sauce, Butter chilli garlic seafood rice, and others.
Debaditya Chaudhury, Managing Director of Chowman said “When I was young, we used to see dragon dance performances. But now we do not see much of such performances. We thought of organizing this dragon dance to make the people aware of this piece of Chinese culture. Chinese dishes are appreciated all over the world. And people in Kolkata also love Chinese food. Hence we have introduced different Chinese dishes to make this special for patrons”.
There is also a flat 20 percent discount for people born in the Year of the Snake like 1953, 1967, 1977, 1989, 2001and 2013.
