Spiral Initiative Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Hulladek Group, has teamed up with Hyderabad-based waste management startup Goodeebag to introduce the “Goodeebag” smartphone application in Kolkata. The app promotes appropriate recycling, disposal, and waste segregation by linking homes with waste collectors. For each kilogram of dry garbage collected, customers receive incentives that can be exchanged for environmentally friendly goods. For efficient garbage recycling, the AI-powered technology forecasts patterns in plastic usage and enhances collecting systems. Waste bins with IoT capabilities monitor data in real-time to improve operational effectiveness.
