Over 2500 student teams from India participated in the 12-hour prestigious offline hackathon “CodeForge 2025”, which was organised by Microsoft in collaboration with the Azure Developer Community, WebForge, and Reskill India.

CodeForge was more than just a hackathon; it was a movement that brought together technology and creativity to create ground-breaking solutions. This was an opportunity to push the limits of innovation and turn ideas into reality, regardless of whether one was an entrepreneur, developer, or designer.

Out of over 2500 teams, about 250 were chosen for the second round after submitting concepts that could be turned into prototypes. Only 20 of the 250 teams that submitted their prototypes to persuade the expert judges of the viability and usefulness of such prototypes made the shortlist in the third round.

Ultimately, only six teams advanced to the grand finale, and the student team CodeForce’s victory as the National Hackathon ‘Microsoft CodeForge 2025’ winner was a proud moment for the whole Heritage Family.

The team was mentored by Prof. Raja Karmakar, Associate Professor & Head, Department of CSE (IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology), Heritage Institute of Technology, and comprised of Nabonil Bhattacharya, Sumit Saha, Nashrah Naazneen, and Srijanee Mitra, second year students from the Department of CSE (IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology).

The winning team made a project on Web Safety Solutions based on AI & IoT to protect and empower lives in Public Spaces.

Congratulations to the winners.
