Bank Of Baroda Now Has A Phygital Branch In Kolkata

At the NSB Airport Branch, located on the grounds of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, Bank of Baroda opened its first phygital branch. In order to satisfy the wide range of customer needs, the phygital branch will revolutionise the customer experience by smoothly combining assisted and self-service models. Bank of Baroda has now established seven phygital locations throughout the nation, each of which has Universal Service Desks for in-person customer support, Self-Service kiosks, and a Video Contact Centre for non-financial services. Additionally, the Bank launched its brand-new e-Lobby in Kestopur.
Shri Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & CEO, Bank of Baroda, inaugurated the Phygital branch, in the presence of Shri Sanjay Tiwary, General Manager & Zonal Head- Kolkata Zone; Shri Sandeep Kumar – Regional Head and other senior bank executives & staff members of the Zone & Region.
The following are the main characteristics of Bank of Baroda’s phygital branches:
• Self-Service Kiosks: By means of self-service kiosks equipped with interactive touch screens, tablets, and other digital interfaces, clients can access a variety of services like updating their PAN, receiving account statements via email, acquiring a TDS certificate, updating their nominees, and more.
• Video Contact Centre: For help with any non-financial or non-personal services, including home loan enquiries, savings accounts, term deposits, auto loans, etc., customers can make a video call to the bank’s contact centre.
• Universal Service Desks: For clients who need in-person assistance, the Physical branch also features a dedicated Service Area with Universal Service Desks that serve as a one-stop shop for all banking requirements.
With four regional offices under its zonal structure, the Kolkata Zone serves as Bank of Baroda’s business hub in West Bengal. Of the 258 branches in the Kolkata Zone, 33% are found in the state’s rural and semi-urban areas.
