Rohan Pariyar And Karustiti’s Flagship Store Open Now

Rohan Pariyar and Karustiti have opened a flagship store at 66 Shakespeare Sarani, close to Decathlon, Kolkata, ushering in a new era of handcrafted and traditional Indian fashion. Through handwoven saris and couture ensembles that showcase a common dedication to artistry, emotion, and innovation, this special partnership unites East and West.

Rohan Pariyar, Ankita Naskar, co-founder of Karustuti, and model Sanghashree Roy graced the launch.
The collection combines Rohan Pariyar’s distinctive dramatic silhouettes with Karustuti’s textile heritage, from a cocktail skirt adorned with pearls and glass to a muslin jamdani painstakingly crafted from 180 handspun cotton threads. The collection is the result of many hours of artisanal labour, emotion-driven design, and accuracy.

Rohan said, “I was first an assistant to the eminent designer Late Sharbari Datta. I specialise in making corsets. I have learned the intricate art of making corsets in Milan. Corsets are getting a good response from the market here. They are priced from Rs 10000 to Rs 1, 50, 000”.
Any evening or red carpet event is enhanced by Rohan’s painstakingly designed corsets. These corsets, which have elaborate hand embellishments and metallic boning, are a classic example of Rohan’s attention to detail when it comes to the fit and finish of the clothing. The brand’s signature silhouette, the corset, has emerged as the most versatile item of clothing when paired with skirts, lehengas, sarees, and pants. According to Rohan, a corset is appropriate for people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and colours.

Offering saris, jumpsuits, gowns, and Indo-western styles that are adaptable yet rooted in narrative, the store boasts a carefully chosen layout created for the contemporary Indian woman.
