Apollo Cancer Centres (ACCs) announced the launch of CanWin, a cancer support group that unites everyone in their cancer journey, as a major step towards commemorating National Cancer Survivors Month.

CanWin is a brand-neutral platform that unites oncologists, psycho-oncologists, patients, survivors, caregivers, and volunteers in a caring community based on empathy, understanding, and support. Its foundation is the idea that “shared strength can change lives”. This is not merely a group. It’s a secure setting for learning, healing, talking, and listening. You are not alone if you have just received a cancer diagnosis, are undergoing treatment, are caring for someone who has cancer, or are living with the disease.

CanWin is a name that combines two potent concepts: Cancer has a CAN, which serves as a silent reminder of resilience and hope. Additionally, WIN is a mindset as well as a destination. a choice to rise with grace, grit, and resolve.

Each of the cancer winners took the stage to share their tales of bravery, strength, and victory during an emotional storytelling session that kicked off the initiative. For those on a similar journey, these honest and motivational stories were a ray of hope.

The cancer winners who shared their amazing journey were Aloke Mukherjee, Manini Ray, Gayatri Chatterjee, Mathummal Sudarshan, Jyoti Kejriwal, and Bireswar Sarkar, along with several other cancer winners.

Professional storytellers who coached cancer survivors to share their experiences as a way to connect, advocate, and heal were also featured at the event.

Prominent oncologists also attended the event and emphasized that, thanks to early detection and cutting-edge treatment, cancer survival rates have dramatically increased for people of all ages. They underlined that programs like “CanWin” are essential for promoting patients’ and survivors’ emotional healing and enhancing their quality of life throughout the entire course of treatment.

The “CanWin” initiative seeks to create a thriving community based on empathy, resiliency, and shared experience through monthly get-togethers, storytelling therapy, survivor-led workshops, expert Q&As, and volunteer opportunities.
