Sneha Sparsha- A Special Homecare Program For Cancer Patients

SH Binayak Multi-speciality Hospital, in collaboration with the Institute of Breast Disease, Kolkata, and the Asian Medical Foundation, inaugurated Sneha Sparsha. It is a home care program that is dedicated to providing quality cancer care at the doorsteps of the patients.
This launch took place at the 2nd Annual Quest 2025 conference.
Dr. Swapan Soren, Director of Health Services (DHS), Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, inaugurated the initiative.
Also gracing the occasion was Sanjoy Chatterjee, Chair, NASSCOM.
Dr. Soumen Das is the driving force behind Sneha Sparsha. He focused on the importance of home-based cancer care and how it helps in easing the physical, emotional, and financial burdens that come with repeated visits to the hospital. This initiative helps in maintaining the dignity, getting expert support, and providing comfort for the patients in their own homes.
Sneha Sparsha also includes home consultations by specialists, professional nursing care, physiotherapy, palliative counselling, nutrition support, timely diagnostics, medicine delivery, and ambulance availability.
