Zee started an industry-facing project called “Z” Whats Next to highlight the network’s development as a content-tech powerhouse and to further accelerate its momentum and confirm its place in this diversified sector.
Zee brought its partners to the bold new era with “Z” Whats Next, an industry-first initiative that gave them a front-row seat to innovations, an evolving vision, and a reimagined entertainment for the industry. It highlighted all that Zee is creating for a world in which content flows freely across platforms, gadgets, and hearts, driven by innovation and technology while maintaining a strong cultural foundation. In addition to showing how Zee is not just adapting to change, but also creating it, and encouraging partners to collaborate with them on creating the future of Indian entertainment, it provided marketers with a glimpse into how narrative can transform from a 30-second commercial to a character-led movement.
Zee reaffirmed that television continues to be the nation’s most potent storyteller, reaching hundreds of millions of people each day, despite a changing landscape and shifting content consumption habits. Additionally, Zee has been responding in real time to the requirements of its viewers, even if audiences nowadays are platform-fluid. At “Z” Whats Next, the network purposefully debuted two new hybrid channels, Zee Power and Zee BanglaSonar, in keeping with the trend and Zee’s pledge to become the top content and tech powerhouse.
Z’ Whats Next also emphasized how Zee, with its assortment of 50 channels in 11 languages, has long been the nation’s most popular entertainment option. Zee Power is a next-generation Kannada hybrid channel aimed at the younger, semi-urban population of Karnataka. The new channel offers a high-energy entertainment experience that genuinely captures the voice of today’s Kannadigas by combining aspirational formats with bold, urban narrative. In August 2025, it will formally go live with a comprehensive multimedia campaign that spans all of Karnataka’s districts. In addition to daily movie showcases and sporadic World Television Premieres, the first programming lineup will consist of five fiction shows and one non-fiction show every day.
