Bengal’s First AI-Powered Special Tribute To Kazi Nazrul Islam

Renowned singer Ms. Mekhla Dasgupta has released “Bharatbarsho”, Bengal’s first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered song, in honor of Kazi Nazrul Islam, the Bidrohi Kobi. By fusing technology and tradition, artificial intelligence has been utilized to bring the spirit of Kazi Nazrul Islam’s masterpieces back to life for the current generation.
Mekhla’s poignant performance honored the groundbreaking poet while skillfully fusing technology and tradition. Black and white images of well-known artists and historical personalities were given life by AI-powered graphics, allowing viewers to experience them as if they were real and re-establish a deep, immersive connection with India’s rich past.
“Kazi Nazrul Islam’s compositions were a plea to awaken the soul of the country, not only songs. That identical call was reimagined for the current generation with the aid of artificial intelligence. My goal was for people to reconnect with our amazing history, feel proud of our ancestry, and experience it in a way that speaks to the present. “This project was a bridge to the future as well as a tribute to the past,” said singer Mekhla Dasgupta.
A fierce nationalist, Kazi Nazrul Islam’s writings were imbued with a profound affection for his nation. He was born during a time of desperation under British colonial control, and he utilized his poetry and music to inspire the people of India and remind them of their rich history in philosophy, music, astronomy, ayurveda, and mathematics. More than 75 years after independence, his words are still relevant and inspirational.
