India’s top producer of wood panels and ornamental items, Century Plyboards (India) Ltd., took part in Matecia 2025, one of the nation’s top trade shows for interior design, building materials, and architecture. In keeping with its mission to create ethically while advancing industry transformation, the business displayed its most recent advancements in wood panel solutions, laminates, and environmentally friendly product lines.

The gathering of architects, builders, manufacturers, and designers under one roof to share ideas, investigate new technologies, and establish future trends is made possible by exhibitions like Matecia. These platforms are crucial for businesses like CenturyPly to demonstrate their product leadership, interact with stakeholders directly, comprehend changing client wants, and fortify industry alliances. In addition to increasing brand awareness, taking part in these events helps to shape the discussion surrounding innovation, sustainability, and expansion in the building materials industry.

Mr. Keshav Bhajanka, Executive Director of CenturyPly, gave a powerful keynote speech at the Matecia Building Materials Exhibition with the theme Future Growth: Rise of Panel Products, Decorative & Interior Business. He praised the platform and gave the organizers credit for creating an environment that values creativity and teamwork.

In his speech, Mr. Bhajanka outlined the significant transformation of the Indian panel products market, from a plywood-dominated market fifteen years ago to the complex ecology of MDF, particle boards, PVC, engineered veneers, and high-performance laminates that exists now. He underlined how demand is changing in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities due to India’s housing boom, increased middle-class aspirations, and the expanding influence of OEMs, architects, and designers.

Mr. Bhajanka compared India’s current trajectory to China’s turning point two decades ago, pointing out that the industry is currently valued at over ₹75,000 crore and is expected to develop at a CAGR of 8–9%. Citing the enormous potential to expand organized retail and branded home improvement products, he advocated for the establishment of an Indian Home Depot.

This change in the industry is reflected in CenturyPly’s evolution. To further solidify its dominance in all four major categories, CenturyPly has also ventured into particle boards and PVC.

With diversification and design-led innovation at its core, CenturyPly is shaping the future of India’s building materials sector, rather than merely reacting to market changes.
