After three failed novels, Agnibha Bose, a troubled novelist tormented by his own inner demons, is anxious to turn his failing career around. He meets Taufique Asif, a necrophilic serial killer on death row, while looking for inspiration, and Asif ends up being the most odd therapist he has ever seen. Unsettling thoughts arise as Agnibha explores Taufique’s terrible secrets: Can he use this deadly relationship to create the masterpiece he has always wanted to write? And what is the real status of his complicated relationship with Rukmini, his publisher-partner?

The cast of the film consists of Saurav Das, Subham, Rupsa Chatterjee, Anangsha Biswas, Sumana Das, Jina Tarafdar, Judhajit Sarkar, Rana Basu Thakur, Palash Haque, and Bimal Giri.

The director of the film is Sunny Ray. “The experience of filming this movie was bizarre. It forced me to reach my physical and mental limitations. I needed to depict the scenarios accurately because the subject was delicate and dealt with a mental illness or perversion. We were successful in our attempt to create a non-sexual film on a highly sexual topic. To put it plainly, we set out to create a fun commercial film on a taboo topic, and we succeeded. It was also considerate of the censor board to refrain from making any cuts to us,” said the director.

“I enjoyed the account that Sanjib Banerji, the principal writer, told me. As ridiculous as it may sound, I was giggling uncontrollably while he read me a very serious screenplay because I could only see the absurd rationality that exists in the human mind. I find the human brain to be fascinating. The fact that it is unpredictable. Necrophilia, in my opinion, is a widespread behavior that has persisted for generations. To the best of my knowledge, this only stopped entirely during COVID-19. For obvious reasons. At that point, Sanjib Banerji told me the anecdote in the midst of a conversation. I knew right away that I wanted to write this narrative,” added the director.

The story, screenplay, and dialogue are by Sanjib Banerjee, Santanu Mukherjee.
