Make Special Memories At Newly Opened Moments Cafe

There are important moments in our lives that we remember for the rest of our lives. It may be our birthday or winning a prize or someone’s anniversary, or even a family reunion. These moments are what make life special.

Understanding the importance of such moments, a new café named Moments Café has begun its journey in South Kolkata.

The owner of this café is Prativa Jayswal.

Moments Cafe started its journey three months ago, just before the biggest festival of Bengal, Durga Puja.

The Kolkata Mail correspondent Priyanka Dutta caught up with Suman Banerjee, Brand and Marketing Head, and Swastika Khatri Chhetri, Operations Head, on the journey of Moments Cafe till now, and the journey ahead.

There are a few cafes in Southern Avenue that serve hookah. And Moments Cafe has a separate section where people can enjoy their hookah.

The chefs all have experience working in the global scenario.

Chef Joseph Mondal stressed that the café serves Continental, Mediterranean, and Italian cuisine. “Our main focus is on Mediterranean cuisine. There are some Chef’s specials and house specials as well. They are unique and are a must-try for the patrons,” said Chef Mondal.

The elaborate menu at Moments Cafe consists of Breakfast platter, Salads, Quick bites, Pasta, Grilled sandwiches, Wild Wild West, Mediterranean classics, hand-tossed pizza, Bakes goodies, Moments special, and others.

There is a great variety of desserts available. A highlight of their dessert menu is that they shuffle it every week. The yummy desserts are available in both egg and eggless varieties.

The beverages section also offers diversified options. There are both hot and cold brews available for the patrons. Even exotic beverages are available.

Chef Mondal pointed out some House Special items from the menu. They are- Thai ginger frappe, Nutella shake, Café mocha, Nutella iced latte, Grilled chicken and hummus sandwiches, Avocado pepperoni sandwiches, and others.

The café runs from 11 am to 12 pm. While most cafes close down at 11 pm, the café is running for an hour more so that more people can come and spend their time.

Thirty people can sit in the café at one time. It can be increased to forty for events like a book reading session, a film screening, and many more.

There is a feedback mechanism that the café follows. The patrons give their feedback, and the café changes the dishes accordingly. Those patrons who give feedback get a nine percent discount on the dishes.

Suman Banerjee highlighted that there will be Pujo special campaigns and offers that the café will announce in due time. “Our main target is the family patrons and not youngsters who frequent cafes. Hence, we will prepare such a Pujo menu that will appeal to both youngsters and the elders in a family. There will be no culinary divide in Moments Cafe,” said Suman.
