Decked in traditional wear, the team of Feluda Pherot- Jawto Kando Kathmandute graced the trailer launch of the upcoming series.

The earlier series directed by Srijit Mukherji was released in 2019. It was titled Chinnomostar Obhishaap.

“This is a contemporary take on a Feluda story. Feluda’s legacy will live on. The baton will pass from one person to another. Feluda is evergreen,” said the director.

Srijit Mukherji said, “Feluda is like a celebration of my childhood. And hence the series is special to me always. It will always be a cherished memory”.

Tota Roy Chowdhury revealed that people now associate Feluda’s films or stories coming out during the winter season. But when the actor was in his teens, Satyajit Ray used to write stories for the youngsters, and they would be published during the Pujas. This is the first time that a Feluda story is being released during the pujas.

Anirban Chakrabarti will be seen in the role of Jatayu in the series. “We shot for Chinnomostar Obhishaap and Jawto Kando Kathmandute simultaneously. Often we used to shoot for one scene from Chinnomostar Obhishaap and then the next scene would be from Jawto Kando Kathmandute. Amazingly, one series got released before, and now the other one is getting released at the end of the journey of this team. It was a great one”.

Kalpan Mitra thanked the director and the fellow cast members for their support throughout the shoot of the series.

Madanlal Meghraj, the infamous villain in the story, will be portrayed by Kharaj Mukherjee.

The series will release on Addatimes on the 26^th of September.
