Hoichoi and Horlicks hosted the official trailer launch of Horlicks Chhoto Byomkesh, marking a lively celebration of creativity, education, and storytelling. The renowned investigator Byomkesh Bakshi is reimagined in an original series in a contemporary environment, as a playful and inquisitive boy with a keen mind and attention to detail.

The series explores the thought-provoking idea that mischief isn’t a cause for concern, but rather catalyzes curiosity and problem-solving. Byomkesh’s lighthearted demeanor demonstrates how innocuous little antics can result in significant revelations.

With school hallways, mischief, friendships, and a cozy, busy family life as the backdrop, the Horlicks Chhoto Byomkesh trailer provides a fascinating look into the character’s existence. The narrative tracks young Byomkesh as he observes what others miss, challenges what others believe, and transforms ordinary events into fascinating riddles. He pays close attention to everything, including weird noises in the classroom and missing lunchboxes. His quest for the truth starts with minor, seemingly unremarkable mysteries that gradually lead to more profound truths rather than a major crime. Byomkesh advances his comprehension of human nature and the intricate world around him with each puzzle solved and each clue found. 

“Byomkesh and Ajit are iconic characters and much loved by the readers and the viewers. But with Chhoto Byomkesh, we have tried to use these characters, but not as ones for the adults. Chhoto Byomkesh is for the youngsters, unlike the original Byomkesh stories, which were made for adults. Every story will have a message to impart to the kids. We have developed a character named Sulochona, who is the mother of Byomkesh. It is she who will be delivering these messages,” said director Kamaleswar Mukherjee.

Priyanka Sarkar said, “I play Sulochona in the series. I have worked with the director many times. I always have a good time when I work with Kamal da. This is a concept that will be loved by the kids. The messages in the series will be ideal for the kids and will also be a lesson in parenting for the guardians. I shared the concept of the show with my son, and he absolutely loved it”.

“I play Byomkesh in the series. He is a calm and sharp person, but once he gets a mystery, he solves it with all his might. I have portrayed the character to the best of my abilities after reading the script and with guidance from Kamal sir. I hope I have done justice to the role, and I hope that the audience will like me,” said Aarush Dey.

Ajit is portrayed by Riddhiman Banerjee. “When I told my friends and relatives I would play Ajit, they were surprised, as this is an iconic character. But after listening to the story, they were somewhat relieved. I had a great time shooting the series,” said the young actor.

Padmanabha Dasgupta will be seen as Sayandeep, Byomkesh’s father.

The series will be aired from 24^th September on Hoichoi.
