One of the top institutes for fashion and interior design education is NIF Global Saltlake (formerly NIFD Global). The institute joyfully celebrated Durga Puja, Bengal’s most revered and colorful festival, this September.

The campus was decked out in festive red, gold, and orange hues, radiating a spirit of cultural grandeur while upholding its ethos of sustainability. All décor was carefully crafted from recycled and repurposed materials, celebrating tradition with responsibility.

As part of these celebrations, on the campus of NIF Global Saltlake hosted AGOMONI 2025 was hosted. It was a pre-Puja fashion presentation featuring the Fashion Design Department students. Students created and produced every piece of clothing, from the initial concept to the final ensemble, skillfully fusing worldwide standards for garment manufacturing, embellishment, and presentation with domestic fashion trends.

Mr. Avishek Naiya, a renowned fashion designer in Kolkata, Ms.Debolina Dutta, a well-known Tollywood actress, and Ms. Ekaterina Tyurina, the Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, graced the event.

Four thematic scenes that each celebrated the festival’s cultural vitality and the spirit of Durga’s return made up the show’s plot: Parineeta, Face it, The Garden of Matisse, and Waqar.

Students’ cultural dance and music performances complemented the fashion sequences. A carefully chosen dance drama emphasized the timeless lesson that every person, regardless of gender, caste, or origin, possesses their own inner force, much as Maa Durga exemplifies strength and resiliency.

NIF Global Saltlake reiterated its dedication to fostering creativity, talent, and cultural awareness with AGOMONI 2025, enabling its students to create designs with accountability, purpose, and global significance.
