The third edition of YES BANK‘s flagship corporate social responsibility initiative, “Sobar Pujo, Durga Pujo”, was distributed at G.D. Birla Sabhaghar in Kolkata by the sixth-largest private sector bank in India, in collaboration with the Satyam Roychowdhury Foundation and the Rotary Club of Calcutta Metropolitan East.

The event was graced by Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury, Founder & Managing Director of Techno India Group, along with principals, teachers, students, NGOs, community leaders, Rotary members, and partner organizations.

By giving away more than 9,000 brand-new garments to disadvantaged kids this year—double the amount from the previous edition—the campaign achieved a noteworthy milestone and became one of the Bank’s biggest community-driven CSR initiatives in Eastern India. Customers, staff, schools, corporations, residential neighborhoods, and local groups all made generous contributions, which reflected the inclusiveness of the community as a whole.

The initiative, which ran from August 15 to September 8, 2025, in 25 West Bengal schools and 38 YES BANK locations, was created to connect the celebration of Durga Puja with the Bank’s CSR mission of inclusivity and community involvement. One of West Bengal’s most well-known celebrations, Durga Puja, is a byword for devotion, community, and cultural pride. Wearing new clothes is a beloved festival custom, and “Sobar Pujo, Durga Pujo” made sure that kids from lower-income families could join in on the fun.

The program is a component of YES BANK’s broader CSR and community involvement strategy, which emphasizes promoting inclusivity, aiding marginalized groups in society, and strengthening ties within the community through joint cultural festivities.
