Great Creativity On Display At Aditya Academy’s Halloween Celebration

The creative theme of Aditya Academy, Dumdum’s Halloween celebration was “Where West Meets East”, which combined Western customs with the narrative heritage of Indian movies. The campus became a thriving hub of artistic expression.
Students in elementary school were inspired by Satyajit Ray’s “Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor”, which brought Gupi Gayen Bagha Bayin back to life creatively and pleasantly. They demonstrated how good spirits inspire bravery, generosity, and creativity through song and dramatization, reminding everyone that Bengali mythology also has its own clever and perceptive ghosts.
With colorful costumes, pumpkin décor, and themed dance, middle school kids displayed the Western side of Halloween. Through their inventiveness, they celebrated terror as entertainment, from superheroes and storybook ghosts to vampires and witches.
The hallways featured a lovely blend of traditional and eerie artwork, such as spider webs braided with alpana themes and clay jack-o’-lanterns next to terracotta masks, signifying the event’s blending of cultures.
“At Aditya Academy, our Halloween celebration is not just about costumes and fun—it’s about blending cultures, where the West meets the East. We think that education should foster each student’s creativity, social consciousness, and overall development in addition to textbooks,” said Principal Mrs. Anshu Sinha.
A colorful parade marked the end of the festivities, promoting the idea that storytelling links cultures across continents and that creativity knows no bounds.
