Speaking at the event, Leander Paes said, “Akhtar sir was my first coach and I would not be the person I am today without him. I still remember how I played my first Davis Cup match with Zeeshan Ali. Zeeshan was my benchmark as he was a better player, and he had fancy clothes and Nike shoes. It is because of the Ali family’s encouragement that I could carry on with my passion for the game”.

The Akhtar Ali Foundation expressed its sincere gratitude to all of the athletes, parents, coaches, officials, and fans. Even though the competition officially ended, two thrilling finals were scheduled for the next day, offering one more day of elite junior tennis.
To carry on Akhtar Ali’s legacy in Indian tennis, the Foundation is still dedicated to honoring a legend and motivating the future generation.
