The Association of Microfinance Institutions – West Bengal (AMFI-WB) will be organizing the 10th Edition of Eastern India Microfinance Summit 2025.

The theme of the summit in 2025 is Reimagining Microfinance towards Viksit Bharat.

Viksit Bharat is an ambitious and revolutionary objective that India has set for itself to become a developed nation by 2047. Inclusive growth that benefits all households, particularly low-income families and female borrowers, is essential to achieving this goal. By guaranteeing fair access to financial services for communities that are frequently shut out of mainstream finance, microfinance plays a crucial part in closing this gap.

However, repayment difficulties, worries about excessive debt, and pandemic repercussions have put the microfinance industry to the test over the last year and a half. Despite these challenges, the industry has shown incredible flexibility by bolstering safeguards, encouraging ethical behavior, and more closely adhering to changing Reserve Bank of India and Government of India rules.

To create a robust, people-centered microfinance ecosystem that is in line with India’s development objectives, the 10th Eastern India Microfinance Summit 2025 offers a crucial forum for cooperation between MFIs, banks, fintechs, investors, regulators, and civil society.

The 10th Eastern India Microfinance Summit 2025 will be held on the 10th of December 2025 at the Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium, Alipore, in Kolkata.
