Newly Launched ALCATI Clinic To Provide Better Care

Narayana Health Kolkata has a dedicated team that deals with Thoracic-Vascular issues. They provide the best care for dealing with complicated lung and vascular problems. To further strengthen the lung care system, Narayana Health Kolkata announced the launch of the ALCATI (Advanced Lung Care and Transplant Initiative) Clinic across the various units.
Gracing the launch were Dr. Abhradip Das, Dr. Sandeep Jain, Dr. Sujan Bardhan, Dr. Unmesh Chakraborty, Prof (Dr) Amitabha Chakrabarti, Dr. Arya Kamal Das, and Dr. Manujesh Bandyopadhyay.
This Clinic will provide multidisciplinary, specialised evaluation and treatment for patients with advanced lung diseases and transplant requirements.
The ALCATI clinic dates are as follows:
2nd Friday of every month- Narayana Hospital, Howrah
3rd Friday of every month- Narayana RN Tagore Hospital, Mukundapur
4th Friday of every month- Narayana Hospital, Barasat
The team-based approach taken by the team at Narayana Health Kolkata is crucial in conditions where thoracic and vascular disease processes overlap. This is true for diseases like lung cancer, airway stenosis, thoracic trauma, aortic aneurysms, and others.
In many hospitals, patients have to go to one specialist for their chest problem and to another specialist for the vascular involvement. This delays the treatment and often confuses.
However, the team-based approach ensures that the patient is prepared, recovery is aptly supported, and long-term vascular and respiratory health is ensured.
As part of this grand launch, the consultations at the clinic will be free of cost. This will help in early detection and timely management of complex and chronic respiratory problems.
