BCC&I & TPREL’s MoU- Focus On Increasing The Solar Adoption

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCC&I) and Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a major participant in India’s renewable energy market and a division of Tata Power Company Limited (often known as “Tata Power”), have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU intends to strengthen TPREL’s commitment to speeding rooftop solar adoption among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state by promoting organized awareness and outreach initiatives for MSMEs across important industrial sectors in West Bengal.
In West Bengal, rooftop solar adoption is being accelerated by Tata Power Solaroof. Through more than 20 channel partners, the state has installed a total capacity of more than 85 MWp to date, facilitating localized involvement, efficient outreach, and smooth project execution for MSMEs across industrial clusters.
In terms of business, Tata Power Solaroof has made a significant impact in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, encouraging the use of rooftop solar in a variety of sectors. With high-performance modules supported by a 25-year performance warranty, financing options, insurance, and strong after-sales support, Tata Power Solaroof provides clients with a complete rooftop solar solution. Businesses can confidently switch to greener, more resilient energy solutions thanks to their end-to-end approach.
With a countrywide network of more than 650 channel partners, Tata Power Solaroof has a pan-Indian footprint that guarantees rooftop solar deployment’s scalability, consistency, and dependability. This growing decentralized solar footprint is consistent with the national trend of more than 3 lakh rooftop solar installations, totaling more than 4 GWp of installed capacity. TPREL continues to make a significant contribution to India’s clean energy path through such programs, helping the nation achieve its goals of reaching net-zero emissions by 2070 and 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
