Renowned singer Amit Kumar‘s most recent romantic Bengali single, Tomake Niyei Joto Swapno, which was written, composed, and conceptualized by Sreeraj Mitra, was released at the Kolkata Centre for Creativity with much fanfare by Mr. Deb Chakravarty and Flixbug Music. With a career spanning more than 55 years, Amit Kumar is one of the greatest playback singers in Hindi and Bengali cinema history. His captivating voice will enthrall the audience once more as he effortlessly conveys both love and melancholy.

Veteran musician Rocket Mondal composed the music for Tomake Niyei Joto Swapno, while Som Chakraborty, who also wrote the screenplay, directed the video. Indrajit Ghosh and Sneha Dhar, a debutante, are portrayed in the video as a contemporary couple who are madly in love. They live together in a studio apartment as working professionals, and as the plot develops, their love, longing, and subtle desperation become more apparent. Their performances have given the story the vitality and nuance it needs.

“The love ballad Tomake Niyei Joto Swapno offers the ideal romantic vibe. Sreeraj Mitra’s lyrics and melody effectively capture the song’s love, longing, and melancholy. “Having written several songs for Amit Kumar in the past, writing for him is a dream come true for me. During the recording of Tomake Niyei Joto Swapno, Amit Da was really involved and added a delicate touch to the notes with elan. The song was written from a man’s point of view, discussing his love for the woman he lives with, the difficulties the relationship presents, and ultimately his desire to get back in touch. The ring has been used as a motif to symbolize an embrace, which is always helpful in maintaining a relationship. The music was expertly arranged by Rocket Mondal, and the video was expertly filmed by Som Chakraborty,” said Mr. Sreeraj Mitra, Composer & Lyricist.

Tomake Niyei Joto Swapno has been programmed by Pranab Banerjee and recorded by Harshul in Studio Seven Heaven (Mumbai), and the Mixing & Mastering were done by Sudip Santra at Studio JMD (Kolkata). Biswanath Saha (Paltan) is the cinematographer, while CG & VFX has been done by Rahul Saha, and Make Up & Hair has been overseen by Nabanita Ghosh Choudhury. The post-production work has been undertaken by Som’s Harmony Team, and the Creative Designs have been done by Somik Basu of What’s Your Strategy.
