Acropolis Mall has introduced SHE Parking, a designated parking area reserved exclusively for female shoppers. The mall’s dedication to women’s empowerment, safety, and inclusive social development is reinforced by a women’s hygiene program that also helps educate girls in Kolkata.

Together, these initiatives reflect Acropolis Mall’s focused efforts to create gender-inclusive infrastructure while generating meaningful social impact through improved access to hygiene and education. The programs are designed to support girls’ literacy, promote convenience, improve safety, and reduce school dropout rates.

The launch was graced by Ms Bidisha Kalita, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Suburban Division, Kolkata Police, and actress Sonalee Chaudhuri.

The newly introduced “SHE Parking Zone” features a distinctive pearly purple design, enabling easy identification for women drivers.

The SHE Parking Zone, which is situated in the Upper Basement Parking Bay, is carefully marked with purple zebra crossings to guarantee accessibility and visibility. Ten two-wheelers and two four-wheelers can park in the zone during its initial phase, and trained staff will be on hand to help female drivers. The facility is expected to expand based on user response.

This program demonstrates Acropolis Mall’s dedication to making women’s daily experiences safer and more empowering—where convenience, comfort, and care all blend together harmoniously.

In particular, actress Sonalee Chaudhuri praised the social impact of the Female Hygiene Initiative, which donates every five rupees bought to the education of girls.

The mall adheres to green building practices, especially in terms of sanitation, and has previously implemented improved fire safety measures close to parking areas.
