AI Must Grow Readily Along With The Great Human Values

The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture in Golpark, Kolkata, hosted the second installment of the Prof. S. K. Chakraborty Memorial Lecture Series. The Management Centre for Human Development (MCHD) organized the program.
Shri Shraddhalu Ranade, a renowned scientist and philosopher from Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Puducherry, was the event’s featured speaker. He discussed the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence in society in his talk, The Revolutionary Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Human Development. According to him, AI is significantly altering daily life, governance, and education. He also emphasized the need for spiritual awareness and human values to advance alongside technology.
The gathering was also addressed by Professor Bidyut Kumar Sarkar. He claimed that self-management is just as crucial in the modern world as institutional management. Artificial intelligence should complement humans, not take their place, he continued.
On this occasion, a tribute book about Prof. Shitangshu Kumar Chakraborty’s life and ideas was released. Educationists, students, and several eminent visitors from various professions attended the presentation.
