Effective Ayushman Bharat Implementation To Better Public Healthcare

At its State Conference, the All Bengal Private Nursing Homes & Hospital Owners Association (PNHOA) presented a thorough plan for improving healthcare delivery throughout West Bengal, with a particular emphasis on the execution of the Central Government’s premier public health insurance program, Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
To discuss important issues impacting the state’s healthcare sector, the conference brought together hospital administrators, nursing home owners, industry representatives, and healthcare stakeholders. Expanding access to high-quality, reasonably priced healthcare, improving public-private partnerships, guaranteeing the long-term viability of healthcare facilities, and fortifying healthcare infrastructure to fulfill the increasing demands of West Bengal citizens were the main topics of discussion.
Effective Ayushman Bharat implementation, according to PNHOA, could greatly increase healthcare accessibility for economically disadvantaged groups while fostering a more cohesive and effective healthcare ecosystem. The association also emphasized how important private hospitals and assisted living facilities are to the state’s healthcare system, providing a significant portion of patient care services.
The conference was attended by Prof. Dr. Gautam Narayan Sarkar, President, PNHOA; Dr. Malay Pit, Chief Advisor; Ashutosh Mondal; Taher Sheik, Joint Secretary; along with healthcare stakeholders, hospital administrators, nursing home owners, and industry representatives from across the state.
In order to address new issues in healthcare delivery and support the long-term growth of West Bengal’s public health ecosystem, the association also declared its intention to actively engage with legislators and stakeholders.
