In front of the cast and crew, Poth Cholti Golpo unveiled the teaser for its ambitious film, Begni Ronger Alo, directed by Manasi Sinha. The relationship between a mother and daughter, their emotional neglect, loneliness, and their silent struggle with depression are the main themes of the movie.

The lead cast, Sohini Sarkar, Biswarup Chakraborty, Ankita Brahma, Subham Roy, Chandan Sen & Arpita Ghosh, along with the director, Manasi Sinha & producer, Poulami Roy, graced the event.

Begni Ronger Alo is fundamentally an emotional tale about a mother and daughter, examining love, memories, relationships, and the question of whether a child can genuinely identify and comprehend their mother. The lonely life of Diti (Sohini Sarkar), a once vivacious woman who enjoyed singing, drawing, and conversations but eventually becomes quiet and reclusive as a result of an unhappy and emotionally distant marriage, is also highlighted in the movie. She struggles with depression and loneliness at home with little understanding or support from her husband Ashok (Biswarup Chakraborty) and in-laws.

Her close friends Ena (Ankita Brahma) and Dodo (Subham Roy), who acknowledge the change in her, are the only people who provide her with emotional support. In Diti’s otherwise lonely life, their friendship, music, and conversations become infrequent moments of solace. Begni Ronger Alo poignantly asks, “How well do we truly know the people closest to us?” while delicately examining depression, emotional neglect, and the loneliness that can exist even within a family through Diti’s journey.

Begni Ronger Alo is produced by Poulami Roy & Biswarup Chakraborty with Soumitra Bhandary as the Executive Producer.

Begni Ronger Alo is scheduled for release on 25th September 2026.
