A Great Blend Of Poetry & Music At Haimantir Kanthe

The organization Haimantir Kanthe arranged a presentation with a distinct flavor on stage, combining poetry with the orchestral sounds of renowned Bengali composers.
The Satyajit Ray Auditorium played host to the fifth anniversary of the ‘Haimantir Kanthe’, a cultural event, which is overseen by the eagerly anticipated Haimanti Ray. The evening was a lavish cultural event that included dancing and music.
There was an unprecedented blend of dance and music at this year’s festival.
Rabindra Sangeet, contemporary Bengali and Hindi music, folk songs, ghazals, and a collection of poems by different authors were all presented. Additionally, a full orchestra played the flawless works of Bengali composers in Indian music. The songs by renowned composers such as Salil Chowdhury, Rahul Dev Burman, Sudhin Dasgupta, and Sachin Dev Burman flooded the orchestra’s auditory halls. The Kolkata Youth Ensemble’s Amitabh Ghosh conducted the group violin.

The celebration featured a performance of Indian classical dance. The audience enjoyed Indian classical dance in a variety of forms, from Kathak to Bharatanatyam.
Haimanti Ray’s songs, recitations, and captivating Kathak dance performance were this year’s main attractions. It was unexpected that the same performer would perform three different performances in one evening. To put it succinctly, Haimanti Roy showed her audience her versatility. She paid tribute to the recently departed musician Zubeen Garg in a song.
Haimanti Roy said that this fifth anniversary festival for lovers of culture and creativity was a memorable moment for her.
A great event indeed.
