The 10th World Food Competition (WFC) 2026 grand finale was held at the Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management (GNIHM), a JIS Group Educational Initiative, on its campus in Panihati, Kolkata. The competition, which brought together 160 participants from 40 countries and is regarded as one of the most prestigious international culinary platforms, celebrated culinary talent, creativity, and innovation from around the world.

The grand finale was graced by celebrity Master Chefs Sanjeev Kapoor, Kunal Kapur, Dr. Parvinder Singh Bali, and Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group.

The World Food Competition has grown over the years to become a major international venue that unites students studying hospitality, industry professionals, and talented chefs. The event offers aspiring chefs the chance to learn from internationally recognized professionals while promoting culinary excellence, innovation in gastronomy, and cultural exchange through food.

Many international competitors showcased their national cuisines in India over the course of the three-day celebration of culinary artistry that marked the 10th edition of the World Food Competition. The event became a remarkable celebration of food, creativity, and international culinary collaboration as a result of the presentation of various cuisines on a single platform, which promoted meaningful cross-cultural exchange. Additionally, participants had the chance to speak with the master chefs and get advice and insights on international cooking methods and changing culinary trends. According to the competition’s final results, Dibyajyoti Saha of India won first place for the Chef competition, followed by Bonolo Lesupi of South Africa in second and Ni Luh Putu Aditi Satriani of Indonesia in third.

Thus, the 10th World Food Competition is a celebration of culinary creativity and international cooperation.
