Amazing Participation At 4th National Inter-School Moot Court Competition

The 4th edition of the National Inter-School Moot Court Competition, the biggest of its type in India, was held at BML Munjal University (BMU), a Hero Group project, in association with The Future Foundation School, Kolkata, in an impressive display of aspiring legal brilliance. 138 kids and 46 teachers from 34 esteemed schools from places including Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gaya participated in this year’s event.
Students were required to think critically about current legal and constitutional concerns as a result of the moot case, which featured a challenge to the legitimacy of a public recruitment notification that excluded candidates with qualifications from open schools. The competition has expanded greatly in size, reputation, and geographic reach since its start, becoming a standard for hands-on legal education in schools.
After several rounds, Delhi Public School in Ruby Park, Kolkata, emerged victorious, winning first place for their incisive advocacy and well-organized arguments. The assessors were impressed by the lucidity and poise of the BSS School in Kolkata, which took second place.
The full-day competition, which gave students a close-to-real courtroom simulation, took place at The Future Foundation School and included 24 preliminary rounds, two semi-finals, and a grand finale. The competition adhered to a strict evaluation framework that focused on legal articulation, research, and interpretation and was judged by a distinguished panel made up of faculty members from BML Munjal University’s School of Law.
Throughout its four editions, the moot court tournament has expanded in size, diversity, and academic rigor. It still offers a strong forum for exposing young people to advocacy, legal reasoning, and constitutional principles, assisting in the development of a future generation of responsible and knowledgeable citizens. The occasion demonstrates BMU’s dedication to a demanding, multidisciplinary, and immersive pedagogy that provides hands-on, research-based instruction that develops problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with others to tackle local and global issues.
