An Amazing Awareness Session On Kidney Health By NCIL

Prevention will be essential to maintaining good kidney health in India, where kidney disease is becoming an epidemic and one in eleven people is at risk of renal failure. Nephro Care India Limited (NCIL) hosted an interactive session with the theme “Are Your Kidneys OK?” in honor of World Kidney Day 2025. “Detect Early, Protect Kidney Health” aimed to raise public awareness of kidney health.
The interactive session was livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook. The session was moderated by Senior Nephrologists from across the country including Dr. Pratim Sengupta, MD & CEO, NCIL, Dr. Bharat Shah, MD, DNB (Nephrology), Dr. Sourav Sadhukhan, MD Medicine, DM, Nephrology, Dr. Prabhav Bhansaly, MD Medicine, DM, Nephrology and Dr. Arindam Dutta, MS, MCh (Urology).
More than 500 registered participants from Bangladesh and India attended the live session, where they received direct advice from well-known medical professionals on the dos and don’ts for kidney health and a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Sengupta claimed that the two main causes of chronic kidney disease, accounting for more than 30% of cases, were diabetes and hypertension. Third, painkiller abuse was a significant factor. The illness frequently advances silently, showing symptoms only after serious kidney damage has taken place.
For an early diagnosis, routine examinations and kidney function tests are therefore crucial.
