Anuradha Mazumdar’s second poetry collection, Shobdo Bilasi, published by Sobdoguchha Prakashana, marked a significant turning point in her developing creative career and broadened the Bengali literary scene. Her enduring devotion to Bengali literature and her conviction that language is a potent means of expression were reaffirmed by the book’s multi-layered examination of emotion, memory, and social consciousness.

The book launch took place in the esteemed presence of Rachna Banerjee, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha – Hooghly), Amitabh Acharya, Editor of Sobdaguchha Parakashana, Paromita Ghosh, Director and Founder of Candid by Paromita, Madhuchhanda Sen, Founder of Maya Art Space, Sutopa Bandopadhyay, Renowned elocutionist, anchor, television personality and actress, Anuradha Mazumdar, Renowned Poet, Author and Elocution Artist and Mr. Rahul Burman, renowned actor, director and Producer.

Shobdo Bilasi was a deliberate celebration of the poet’s devotion to her home tongue. Even though the poet’s life and upbringing took place outside of Bengal, the book, which was written in Bengali, demonstrated a strong emotional commitment to the language. The collection reaffirmed the publisher’s dedication to supporting genuine literary voices by bringing together a variety of poetry forms and fusing personal experiences with more general social realities.

Anuradha Mazumdar said, “Moments of silence, observation, and personal experience gave rise to this work. Every poem contains an idea that has persisted in my mind long enough to require expression. Writing in Bengali came naturally to me since it enables me to communicate honestly and deeply. I wanted to combine social reality and introspection in a way that seemed authentic to my journey through Shobdo Bilasi”.

Anuradha Mazumdar’s second foray into writing also showed a distinct development in her poetic voice. The book emphasized the publisher’s role in elevating significant voices in Bengali literature while presenting itself as a modern reflection of real experience.
