Arindam Sil has begun the shoot of his next film Khela Jawkhon. The film is a thriller and the shoot has been going on in different parts of the city.

The story is about Urmi who has recovered from a coma. She is taken care of by Sagnik, her husband, and her in-laws. Certain contradictions start happening in her life and the situation turns violent. These contradictions lead to the revealing of a deep secret.

Speaking in between shots, Mimi Chakraborty said “I am happy to be a part of this thriller. To again face the camera after so many months is a great feeling. I play Urmi and her character has several layers to it. I hope that the audiences will love my portrayal of this character”.

Mimi had cut her hair short and got rid of her long gel nails due to the character’s demand.

Actress Susmita Chatterjee said “I am excited and nervous as I am working with such talented people. I play Opala. She is a smart, mature, calm, and dynamic character. She has various shades to her character. Since this is a thriller, I won’t reveal much about the character. Mimi di and Arindam da have been helping me a lot in the scenes”.

Arjun Chakraborty, Barun Chanda, Alokananda Roy, June Malia, Joydeep Kundu, Harsh Chaya, Anindya Chatterjee, and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

“The film’s shooting was long scheduled. We were thinking about when we can begin the shoot of the film. This is challenging as the pandemic is still going on. however, we will be working hard to present to the audience a thriller that they will love surely” said the director.

The film has an outdoor shooting of 20 days in Odisha and 4 days of shooting will be done in Kolkata.

The music will be composed by Bickram Ghosh. This is the 14^th film that Arindam Sil and Bickram Ghosh will be working together.
