The electrifying BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES 2025 (BGIS) Grand Finale, held at the iconic Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in Kolkata, ended with Team Versatile winning the championship. This historic event was the first BGIS LAN finale in Kolkata, with the winning team taking home a grand prize of INR 69.6 lakhs from a total prize pool of INR 3.2 crore.

The unprecedented turnout of over 15000 fans, as well as the rising viewership, demonstrates BGMI’s unrivalled popularity and India’s growing interest in esports. BGIS 2025 was more than just a tournament; it was a celebration of India’s gaming revolution.

Over three action-packed days, the event featured intense battles and overwhelming fan enthusiasm, highlighting Esports’ rapid rise in India. To add to the excitement, KRAFTON India announced the highly anticipated BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRO SERIES (BMPS) 2025, revealing the roadmap for the company’s next phase of Esports expansion.

BGIS 2025 began in February, with selected teams battling through multiple intense rounds to earn their spot in the Grand Finals. Held from April 25th to 27th, the 16 finalist teams competed in 18 intense matches, each vying for the ultimate chicken dinner. Team Versatile won, leaving their mark on Indian Esports history, but the tournament also recognised outstanding performances from all teams, demonstrating remarkable skill and determination.

The thrilling finale was also live broadcast on KRAFTON India Esports’ YouTube channel, which received an overwhelming response from both BGMI fans and Esports enthusiasts. The event was broadcast in ten languages, including English, Hindi, and other regional languages, allowing viewers across the country to fully enjoy the matches.
