Bhaggolokkhi Bumper, which is set in Kolkata, centers on Narayan, a struggling marriage official who has been devastated by heartbreak, loss, and debt. He purchases a lottery ticket out of desperation. Overnight, fortune smiles, money flows, and life changes. However, a divine interruption is a prerequisite for riches. Goddess Lakshmi looks dissatisfied. Dream or fate? Narayan learns he has won the lottery, but decides to turn it down as tragedy, treachery, and even murder rock his world.

This captivating story about karma, conscience, and the price of blessings is about waking rather than luck.

Bhaggolokkhi Bumper is directed by Rishav Dutta. “While sitting in the office in 2021, the idea for Bhagyalokkhi Bumper came to mind. We did a script reading on Swaralipi’s birthday night in 2023 after she completed the screenplay, and that’s when we realized we had to make this narrative. The adventure started with a lot of obstacles, new people, and new duties. I consider myself lucky to have had Sumana Di and Ehasaas Kanjilal at our side while working with artists such as Swati Mukherjee, Subrata Sengupta, Unmesh Ganguly, Bimal Giri, Swaralipi Ghosh, Chiranjit Chakraborty, and Surojit Mal. Bhaggolokkhi Bumper is a journey of conscience, karma, and human decisions rather than merely a tale of shifting fortunes,” said the director.

The cast of the film consists of Unmesh Ganguly, Bimal Giri, Swaralipi Ghosh, Chiranjit Chakraborty, Surajit Mal, Subrata Sengupta, Swati Mukherjee, Santanu Majumder, Madhubanti Banerjee, and others.

The music of the film has been composed by Shamik Guha Roy, Sayantan Mistry, and Anushtoop Mazumder.

The film has been produced by Mojotale Entertainments & Distributions, Greymatter Films, and Deziniax Studios.

The producers of the film are Ehsaas Kanjilal, Rishav Dutta, and Debango Paul.

The film will be released in March.
