The Kolkata Ratna Samman 2025 was organized recently.

Gitanjali Social Organisation organized this amazing event.

At the event, six personalities were awarded the Kolkata Ratna, ten personalities received the Pride of Kolkata, and an organization received the Best of Kolkata award.

Kolkata Ratna was presented to P C Sorcar (Junior), Dr. Pabitra Sarkar, Dr. M.P. Rozario, Lopamudra Mitra, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, and Mamata Shankar.

Sabyasachi Chakraborty said, “I do not know whether I have done anything so great to be presented with the Kolkata Ratna. However, I am honoured and I hope to continue with the work that I do. Hope to entertain the audiences as always”.

Lopamudra Mitra said, “I am elated to receive this honor. In today’s times, Bengali singers are doing good work at the national level. However, they do not sing in Bengali much. I just hope that with my award, many new talents are motivated to sing in Bengali and carry forward the musical legacy of Bengal”.

Pride of Kolkata was given to Anupam Halder, Dr. Subimal Das, Arindam Biswas, Prashanta Bandopadhyay, Sambaran Banerjee, Agniv Bandopadhyay, Tanusree Chakraborty, Suranjan Pal, and Sudarshan Chakraborty.

Anupam Halder was ecstatic to receive the honor in the presence of eminent dignitaries. He said that this will motivate him further to do good work.

The Best of Kolkata was presented to Uttar Kolkata Udayer Pothe.

The recipients got a bouquet, a trophy, and a certificate.
