Kolkata girl Lopamudra Mandal recently came back from Goa after winning the crown of First Runner-up and Fashion Icon award of the prestigious beauty pageant Mrs India IAB 2018. She has also been made the Global Brand Ambassador of the Pageant and will be campaigning for the motto “Fight Crime Against Women” and help survivors of violence find a voice.

To commeorate her achievement at the prestigious event, Lopamudra was felicitated by well-known personalities like Imran Zaki, Satnam Ahluwalia and Indroneel Mukherjee  at Press Club. The event was also attended by Anita Dutta, State Director, Mrs India IAB.

Talking about her journey, Lopamudra said, “I was not liked at the pageant by the other contestants as I was successful and they hated competitions. I am extremely grateful to my friends and family who have always supported me in my endeavors. They have ganged up against me but they could not stop me from achieving success at the pageant”.

Lopamudra has a Masters Degree in English Literature and is also educated in Journalism, PR, Marketing and Fashion Designing. In 2000, she won the title of Miss Kolkata and did professional modeling for two years. After her marriage, she continued her professional journey by launching her fashion label Studio Eye and later became the curator of two successful exhibitions Meena Bazaar and High Street Market.
