The FORE School of Jewellery Design (FSJD) is a new vertical established by the Foundation for Organisational Research and Education (FORE), a centre of excellence in management education, development, research, and consulting. The institution was founded to combine technical know-how with creativity to provide a thorough, industry-relevant approach to jewellery education.

Since its founding as a society in 1981, FORE has collaborated extensively with business and academia to develop a vibrant learning environment that emphasises leadership, sustainability, and innovation. It now encompasses many verticals and specialised schools and is the parent institution of the FORE School of Management (FSM), one of India’s top B-Schools, demonstrating its dedication to leadership development and holistic education.

FSJD is launching a 6-month intensive program in Jewellery Design and Digital Manufacturing (JDDM) in partnership with the esteemed Design Academy of India (DAI). The curriculum combines cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing, CAD/CAM design, gemstone and diamond handling, and practical business skills in a unique way with traditional craftsmanship. In addition to internships, industry visits, and masterclasses by senior industry experts, the program places a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship.

The JDDM program, which is tailored for individuals who want to work in the international jewellery design industry, is notable for combining advanced manufacturing techniques, CAD/CAM jewellery design, and business skills like management, branding, and marketing. This ensures that students acquire both technical expertise and entrepreneurial readiness.

Students study photography, manual sketching, 3D printing methods, and CAD/CAM software (Matrix Gold) over six months. Internships with top jewellery companies, monthly industry visits, hands-on business training, master classes, training with professional equipment for gemstones and diamonds, and metal composition in line with international standards are all part of the curriculum.

With job opportunities in design, manufacturing, branding, and retail, the global jewellery industry is expanding rapidly. Professionals with expertise are sought after by startups, luxury brands, export houses, and internet platforms. FORE’s dedication to fostering India’s creative economy and design-led jobs is reflected in FSJD.
