Great Blend Of Modern With Traditional At Aditya Bari Kali Puja

With a history spanning more than three centuries, the renowned Aditya Bari Kali Puja is back this year with a theme that masterfully blends the traditional with the modern, “Where Sabeki Roots Meet Golden Glitter”. This year’s idea, which combines the beauty and brilliance of modern design with the ancient spirit of devotion, is a brilliant homage to Bengal’s ageless creativity.
A custom that has been practiced for more than three centuries, the Aditya Bari Kali Puja is a living testament to faith, art, and community. The Aditya family works to preserve this legacy each year by incorporating modern creativity into themes that honor Bengal’s ethnic character.
Aditya Bari Kali Puja honors the divine this year with a visual prayer that combines passion, creativity, and faith. Bengal’s sabeki spirit, or traditional essence, and glittering modern beauty come together magnificently in this year’s theme.
Red and gold, which stand for the Divine Mother’s unending strength and divine prosperity and radiance, respectively, pulse at the theme’s aesthetic core.
A heavenly blend of tradition and innovation can be seen in the pandal design. A shimmering glow is used to reinterpret traditional alpona patterns, and a golden atmosphere is created by reflected textures, gold-flecked draperies, and glowing backdrops. Every artistic component, from elaborate cloth layering to hand-painted designs, honors Bengal’s long history of craftsmanship while engrossing followers in a realm where brilliance and ritual coexist.
Anirban Aditya, Chairman of Aditya Group, said, “Aditya Bari Kali Puja has always been about honoring our roots while embracing the evolving beauty of culture. The subject for this year is a celebration of harmony between tradition and contemporary, religion and celebration, and dedication and design. The dazzling journey of Bengal’s spirit is embodied in Sabeki Roots Meet Golden Glitter”.
“Each year, I approach the theme as a canvas to celebrate Bengal’s living art. This time, the contrast between the light of fresh starts and the nostalgia of our roots is conveyed by the colors red and gold. It is the place where dedication finds its light and tradition finds its sparkle,” said Ankit Aditya, Vice Chairman, Aditya Group.
Prominent figures from the entertainment and business industries were among the distinguished guests who graced the grand occasion.

The guests included actors Sauraseni Maitra, Neel Bhattacharya, Trina Saha, and Sourav Das, Chandra Shekhar Ghosh (Founder, Bandhan Bank), Suvankar Sen (Executive Director, Senco Gold and Diamonds), Debaditya Chaudhury (Restaurateur & Entrepreneur), Satyam Ray Chowdhury (Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University, Co-Founder Techno India Group), and many more.
Under the heavenly gaze of Goddess Kali, the red-and-gold tapestry stood as a brilliant reminder of Bengal’s timeless creativity as the night of devotion filled the Aditya Bari courtyard.
