With a magnificent floral display at the famous Eden Gardens, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) joyously commemorated Team India’s historic triumph at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Cricket fans from all across the city marveled at the spectacular display generated by the vivid lighting and specially built backdrop honoring the Indian women’s cricket team.

The stadium’s front façade was decorated with eye-catching images of the winning Indian team, illuminated by bright blue lights to symbolize the team’s pride and accomplishment. The ornament served as a reminder of the women’s team’s outstanding achievement, which inspired millions of aspiring cricket players and brought great honor to the country.

Former Indian cricket player and CAB President Mr. Sourav Ganguly said, “As the home of cricket in Bengal, we wanted to celebrate their success and express our heartfelt congratulations through this special tribute.” Not many people were optimistic about the future of women’s cricket twenty years ago, when it suffered from a lack of infrastructure. Bravo to all the women who put in a lot of effort to advance the game. I was excited to fight for the advancement of women’s cricket when I was elected BCCI President, and I tried my hardest to fortify its basis. Women’s cricket will grow even more after winning the 50-over World Cup”.
