Great News- ILEAD Revives A Lifeline Hospital In Sundarbans

By reopening a closed hospital on Gosaba island that serves more than a million people, iLEAD is revolutionizing healthcare in the Sundarbans. This program uses innovation, healthcare, and education to help the area find healing and hope.
Recently, the Department of Allied Health Sciences at iLEAD held health camps that included blood donation drives, thalassemia screenings, and optometry examinations. In order to guarantee prompt access to resources that can save lives, a local blood bank is also being established.

Undergraduate and graduate students from the fields of optometry, critical care technology, hospital management, media science, and interior design are participating in this project, which serves as a classroom for compassion. Students will take part in patient communication planning, hospital infrastructure beautification, and healthcare service training.
A reputable hospital architect is working on the hospital’s renovation and redesign. The Agarwal & Goenka family is donating state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Under the direction of iLEAD’s healthcare team and trained students, with assistance from telemedicine specialists and regional medical professionals, the hospital will run on a sustainable but non-profit model. This guarantees Sundarbans long-term, reliable, and reasonably priced healthcare.
A tenfold increase in virtual consultations and diagnoses has been attained by China’s Agent Hospital model, which the hospital hopes to imitate.
Specializations in Optometry, Critical Care Technology, Hospital Management, and Medical Lab Technology are available in iLEAD’s Allied Health Sciences courses. Students who complete these courses will be able to significantly impact healthcare.
